More blessings

Today was a fabulous day because The Kale Sale started at Eath Fare!!! All kale just .99. Now that's a reason to be thankful! We zoomed over there first thing this morning and got us some.
Tremendously thankful for a healthy check up for my sweet daughter and unborn baby grandson. We are anxiously awaiting his arrival. She is going to be a great mom.
I had the blessing today of returning the favor to her by painting her fingernails and toenails. She painted my toenails and braided my hair the night that my placenta abrupted and God so mercifully spared my life. I have spent the last two days doing different things with her and we have had the best fun. Really all us girls have.
We had a glorious night last night at Zoo lights and so thankful we went last night because it has poured all day and tonight. We would have missed it all together.
Oh and one more thing I am thankful for.... God is good, All the time, God is good!!!!

Thankfulness

I got up by my alarm this morning which is a start on a new habit! Got my coffee and sat down and read my bible selection for today on my phone in the comfortable and quiet early morning dimness of our den. I have decided on a chronological reading plan of the new testament. So today I am thankful for new starts of new habits!
My letter came from Jo for application for 3rd year discipleship. I asked Jay about it and he said he would be very pleased  for me to do another year discipleship. So I filled it out and I am ready to put it in the mail. So again, I am thankful for new beginnings!
I am so tremendously thankful for my new Successful Woman Planner!!! Because of the excellent ideas of things to work on or start working on I am already planning our spring garden. The conversation I had with my husband this morning about where and how I wanted to plant the garden so inspired him that he ordered seed catalogs today. I love the way this plannner is laid out and HELPS you to be organized. Thinking ahead so you can be on top of things and not playing catch up so much. Thankful for fresh perspectives, organization and just a little order from chaos being revealed!
The day I had today just abounded with things I can be thankful for. I went to the store with a daughter, soon to have my first grandchild. We had a great time. Then a wonderful lunch.
Tonight there was zoo holiday lights. And I ended the day with my phone health tracker app saying I have had the most active day today since I have been tracking. I have really tried to be more active.
So today wasn't just a good day or a great day. It was  a GRAND day and I am thankful for just about the whole thing!

Gratitude

I have found myself grumbling and complaining and being dissatisfied with people, events, situations, children, my work...so many things. I was just in a constant state of always being not good enough, things not going the way I want or dealing with unwanted interruptions. After thinking this over I decided to do a word study on thanksgiving, thankfulness and gratitude in my bible.
I have decided to keep a gratitude journal of sorts. My goal is to list atleast 3 things each day that I am thankful for. My hope is to live each moment more in the present, appreciating each moment, each day and especially each person. I am hoping an added benefit will be to reduce stress and increase joy.
Today I am thankful that my lovely daughter is married to wonderful young man. A young man who would, after being almost to work and hearing that the doctor wants her to come in, turned around to puck her up and take her. See she is 39 weeks pregnant and wasn't feeling good, she was worried and called the doctor. He is a pharmacist and without him, there is no pharmacy. He could have told her to call me or her dad. But he didn't. Today, I am thankful my daughter is married to a man of high caliber who puts my daughter first.
I am also thankful for something else. I am thankful today for a relationship with my husband. The kind of relationship where we no longer hold grudges against one another. One where we can have harsh words with each other and simply walk past them and have a fresh encounter with each other the very next time we have an exchange. It has taken a long time to get to this point. Our pride has gotten in the way for so long.
I know that is only two but that is where I will start today.
